Samsung Retail App

Series of Samsung Retail Mobile apps designed to be displayed in the stores of mobile providers and large retailers across the U.S. and Canada.

Samsung sought a design enhancement for their retail application to distinguish themselves within retail environments. I proposed the development of an application featuring an introductory video to attract attention, transitioning seamlessly to the application interface upon the customer’s interaction with the device. During a presentation to Samsung, I articulated the concept of leveraging commercial footage to showcase users engaging with Samsung’s highlighted features.

Subsequently, I assembled a multidisciplinary team comprising designers, motion graphic artists, and application developers. Collaborating with the production company Yes Go Productions, we auditioned and cast skilled actors and filmed on location across the metroplex. The captured footage was seamlessly integrated into the application allowing consumers to select to watch videos based on categories that were set in the app. The outcomes proved highly impactful, leading to the commissioning of five total applications, each with production budgets ranging from $650,000 to $1,000,000.
